About Me

I’m Nicholas Rodgers, but my friends call me Nick, or Ninos in Hungarian. I’ve been living in Hungary just about as long as I’ve been in love with cars, which is to say about 10 years. In my time I’ve been many things, but the creative arts were never far away. Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was a little kid shooting Kodak disposables, and my very first camera was a Canon A2000 that I got for Christmas one year. I did photography on and off until Covid, when I picked up a Canon 600D. I then sold that off a few years later for a Fujifilm XT-1, a very charming little camera I still use daily for my non professional work. My professional work is all done with an XT-3, a camera I can’t get enough of for that sweet sweet shutter sound. I also shoot several film cameras, and if you have a preference for film then please let me know!

Aside from photography, I spent several years as a Mentor at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, so I know a thing or two about working with people from all kinds of backgrounds, especially those that are nervous or unsure of their new surroundings. Whether it’s behind the wheel or behind the camera, I always do my best to help people around me feel at ease.

I’ve got a little cat called Zagreus that you can see several pictures of in the Animals section of my portraits page, and if you come to a studio shoot then he will be very pleased to meet you (and probably sniff your toes, sorry).

I’m always looking to work with new people, new subjects, new cars and new pets, so drop me a message and let’s make some art!
